Highlights of this year’s activities include the District Awareness Challenge and the DHAM Banner/Video School Project. The District Awareness Challenge allows all teachers and students of all grade levels to participate in awareness activities and compete to score points for their school. The DHAM Banner/Video School Project gives each school an opportunity to show off your creativity by designing a banner or short video (30 seconds or less) to demonstrate how your school incorporates the essence of our theme.
Schools participating in the District Awareness Challenge will be recognized as gold, silver, or bronze participants based on the number of points they earn. For the DHAM Banner/Video School Project, the region with the highest number of participating schools will receive recognition through both the WCPSS internet and intranet.
Please encourage your child to participate in Disability History and Awareness Month activities, and ask them questions about what they’ve learned.
